Mashtun notes:

The nose on this dram gave us smoke, salt, and all the smells of the seaside! The taste was very dense and earthy, with burnt timber, smoke, and salt, all shining through.  The finish was long, smoky, earthy, and even had a hint of burnt sugar. The colour was a beautiful dark gold and the texture was thick and creamy. Being cask strength we did have to add water. Doing so smoothened the dram and brought out floral notes, spices, and vanilla. This dram has a different depth to a standard Bowmore but still keeps that ‘Bowmore feel’. It definitely has a lot going on and we’d recommend it to anyone. Another very good offering that just smacks of the SMWS.
