Mashtun notes:

On the nose we got sweet smoke and antiseptic. The palate was sweet and gave us wood smoke, salt, and TCP. The finish was smoky and sweet and felt very pure. It had the colour of a chardonnay and a smooth oily texture. A little water mellows this dram and brings out a slight hint of salt. This is simply a fantastic Kilchoman from the SMWS. They have hit the nail on the head and taken full advantage of John MacLellans ability to do wonderful things with a relatively young whisky spirit.
